What comes in a OneObit app

The app runs on React Native and gets everything else from Shopify. Products, discounts, checkout and customer accounts stay in Shopify. OneObit adds the native app, the editor, push notifications and the app store submissions.

Preset

Every screen

A whole app, not just a home screen.

Shop, product, bag and push notifications, all in your preset and brand.

Preset
ShopSearch, category chips and a product grid.
ProductPhotos, variants and add to bag.
BagThen Shopify's own checkout, in a native sheet.
PushBack in stock, abandoned bag and new arrivals.
Native, not a wrapper

What a native app adds.

The app is built with React Native and Shopify's mobile SDKs. Products, prices and checkout rules stay in Shopify.

Checkout

Shopify's checkout in a native sheet

Discounts, payment methods, Shop Pay, taxes and shipping rules work as they do on your website, because the app uses Shopify's own checkout.

Push

Push notifications

Send abandoned cart, back-in-stock and new drop notifications. They go out through Apple and Google with your own keys, and there is no per-message fee.

Updates

Over the air

Content and theme changes reach installed apps without a store review. Only native code changes need a new submission.

Ownership

Your developer accounts

The app is listed under your company name. If you leave, the store listings stay yours.

Sections

18 section types

Banners, product rails and grids, collection collages, coupons and reviews. You can reorder sections, hide them, or prepare one ahead of a sale.

Editor

Inside the Shopify admin

Sections on the left, settings in the middle and a phone preview on the right. There is no separate login.

How it works

From install to the app stores in four steps.

You work in the Shopify admin. We handle the app store submissions, the signing certificates and the builds.

  1. Install from the Shopify App Store

Your products, collections, discounts and checkout are already there, so there is nothing to import.

  2. Design in your admin

Choose a preset, set your colours and fonts, and build the home screen from 18 section types. A phone preview updates as you edit.

  3. We build and submit

We submit the app from your own Apple and Google developer accounts, so your company is the listed developer. We help you set up both accounts.

  4. Ship changes instantly

After launch, changes to the home screen, theme and text reach installed apps over the air, with no new app store review.

Presets

Preset · Kidswear

Bold outlines and buttons that bounce.

Thick ink borders, hard drop shadows and a press animation with a little spring in it. It suits toy and kidswear stores, and it uses the same components as the other two presets.

Preset · Jewellery

More space, thinner lines, calmer motion.

Hairline borders, twice the spacing, a serif typeface and a press animation that settles without bouncing. Only the theme settings change. The components stay the same.

Preset · Fashion

Square corners and uppercase labels.

Black and white, square corners and letter-spaced labels, so the product photos do most of the work. Your team changes the season's layout in the admin, with no app store update.

Ownership

Published under your name.

Apple requires apps made with an app builder to be published from the store owner's own developer account. Your customers see your company name on the listing, and the app belongs to you.

Check what your store needs

  • 1
Apple Developer Program, as an Organization

$99 a year, paid to Apple. It needs a D-U-N-S number for your company. Apple's verification takes the longest, so we start it with you on the first day.

  • 2
Google Play Console, as an organization

$25 once, paid to Google. An organization account also needs a D-U-N-S number. A new personal account must run a 14-day closed test first, so we check the account type with you before you pay.

  • !
Sole proprietors cannot publish on iOS

Apple does not let invited teams sign apps on individual accounts. If your business is not incorporated yet, we tell you before you pay anything.
